Funding resources for the mining industry are becoming as cyclical as commodity prices. Mr. Cramer's presentation will review the current state of the industry, describe sources of funding over the past 10 years, and discuss issues associated with future fund raising.

Michael N. Cramer received advanced degrees in Mining Engineering and Mineral Finance from the Krumb school of Mines at Columbia University. He has been a Senior Industry Specialist for metals, mining and energy minerals for over 25 years, twelve of which have been at Citibank. He has been involved in numerous transactions from an array of product perspectives including corporate, project, commodity and acquisition finance, public and private underwriting, equity, leveraged and asset-backed financings, and M&A's for mines, smelters and refineries around the world.

Mr. Leonard (Len) Harris is originally from Australia and first went to Latin America in 1955 to work for Cerro de Pasco Corporation in Peru. Since then, he has been continually involved in mining and exploration ventures in that country as well as in Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Suriname, Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.
