A.C. Daman Lifetime Achievement Award
Arthur C. Daman was a 1915 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and began his career with Stearns-Roger Corp. In 1927 he founded Denver Equipment Company. Mr. Daman was one of the dynamic leaders of the mining industry. He was a capable engineer and had more than 50 patented inventions.
In 2000, the Colorado MPD Executive Committee created an award to recognize lifetime achievement in the mining industry. The award is given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the image of the mining industry, and have made a significant impact on the mining industry in either property development, equipment design or engineering services.
The recipients of this award are of the highest professional and ethical standards and whose character and integrity is above reproach. The award is named in memory of Arthur C. Daman who lived these standards and made an impact on the mining industry in Colorado and the world.
