Don't forget to submit your abstracts for the Rapid Excavation & Tunneling Conference (RETC) 2017 which will be held in San Diego, California in June 2017. Abstract submission is now available. For additional details refer to the following link:

I’m pleased to report that following the request by Erin Clarke, the UCA Executive Committee at their April 28, 2016 meeting approved $50,000 for student conference scholarships to the RETC 2017 meeting in San Diego.

RETC will be held on June 4-7, 2017. These conference scholarships give young people the opportunity to learn more about tunneling, career opportunities, and network with engineers, contractors, and owners from the industry. Let’s start taking these up as this is a great contribution from the UCA Executive Committee. More details with applications will be available later this year. Keep checking back to the UCA website http://www.smenet.org/uca for information.
