UPGRADES AT THE HERITAGE MUSEUM IN IDAHO SPRINGS
The Colorado Mining Exhibit Foundation (using SME/MEC material) in cooperation with the Idaho Springs Historical Society is upgrading the mineral education displays at the Heritage Museum and Visitors Center in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The improvements include modern electronics and graphics on "The Importance of Minerals and Mining". More than 50,000 visitors tour the facility each year.
Come up to the mountains for a day to see the new material on "Railroads & Mining: Building the West", "Coal Mining and Mined Land Reclamation", the All About Mining summer short course for teachers and economic minerals.
