    Greetings Section Members!

    We will be having our "Winter Meeting" on Thursday, February 9th at 6:30 pm, bar opens at 6 pm.  So SAVE THE DATE!

    This will be in the St. Louis Area, but I do not have a location confirmed at this time.  We do have a speaker(s).  Penta Engineering will be doing the presentation at our Winter Meeting, discussing some recent underground projects.

    The presentation for Thursday, Feb 9, will be:

    Underground Mine to Storage Facility Conversion- by Tom Boutaugh and Manoj Mohan, Penta Engineering

     

    PENTA Engineering Corporation, is a 37 year old St. Louis based consulting, engineering and EPC/EPCM firm specializing in mining and minerals processing projects.  Penta helped convert an existing underground mine to an underground storage facility with over six million square feet of space. This presentation will detail the conversion project including the steps and challenges that PENTA collaboratively overcame with Owner to successfully complete the conversion.

    Greetings Section Members!
    Here are the final details and flyer for our Winter 2023 meeting, to be held on Thursday, February 9th, at 6:30 PM.  The dinner meeting will be held at Andre's South, 4254 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, MO 63129.  Bar opens at 6 PM.  $30 ($10 for students) collected at the door.  Cash, Check, or Credit card (small fee for CC transactions over Square).

    Speakers will be Tom Boutaugh, P.E., Senior Consultant with Penta Engineering and Manoj Mohan, VP of Business Development for Penta.  A bio for each speaker is in the attached flyer.  They will discuss a recent project where Penta helped convert an existing underground mine to an underground storage facility with over six million square feet of space. The presentation will detail the conversion project including the steps and challenges that PENTA collaboratively overcame with the Owner to successfully complete the conversion.
