CUG Innovative Initiative Awards
Turn Your Workplace Innovation Into Industry Recognition
Are you a coal related industry worker that has contributed to increased safety & health, efficiency, or other critical aspects of your job because of an innovative idea you or your team implemented?
Do you continue to see benefits that might be useful to your coal industry peers?
Would you and your team like to be recognized for your continued efforts for improving?
Safety & Health, Reliability, Education, Innovation, Awareness, and Community are the core values of the Coal Users' Group (CUG), a 25-year organization with a history of knowledge sharing, better practices, and continual improvement. We desire to highlight your efforts that embody these principles in our work with coal through the newly established CUG Innovative Initiative Awards Program. All entries for this award will be recognized at the CUG Annual Safety and Technical Forum, including one or more winners who will present their achievement at the forum.
Entries for the awards program can be submitted beginning March 1st of each year and will be reviewed throughout the year by the CUG Board of Directors. Recognition and award notification will be given by the end of the year in anticipation of the next technical forum. We are currently accepting submissions for the 2026 Technical and Safety Forum to be held in San Antonio, Texas in January.
