The maintenance program depicts the interaction of the total plant or mine population as they request or identify work and classify it to determine the best reaction. Then, they plan, schedule, assign, control and measure the resulting work. Finally, they assess overall accomplishments against goals such as performance standards and budgets. (Note -- this definition was missing from the previous post asking managers to examine their maintenance programs.)
