Supporting You Through COVID-19 Impacts

We are concerned about you and understand that the rapidly changing situation has presented unique challenges for you and the industry. To help you stay connected and informed, below are virtual opportunities and current information about SME, UCA and other industry events.
Connect, Benefit and Brainstorm Solutions Now

UCA of SME would like to share with you the steps we are taking to reducing the risk of adverse health impacts to our member community and staff while remaining connected and engaged.

Connect and Engage Virtually
Physical distancing doesn’t have to mean a social disconnect. Be sure to connect with colleagues and professionals on various virtual platforms.
  • Connect with colleagues, your professional network, and committees through online video/audio conferences.
  • Take advantage of professional opportunities offered through webinars. In the coming weeks, SME will increase the number of webinars.
  • Use the SME Community’s membership directory and resources to communicate.
  • Participate in the Great Debate.
  • Submit your applications for Awards.
  • Enhance your research through the web-based document library OneTunnel.org.
Conferences and Events
Our meetings team is working to make the most informed decisions regarding the postponement or cancellation of any event. Guided by rapidly changing information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other state and local officials, these decisions will be conveyed in a timely fashion.

UCA of SME Support
Your Society is still here to support you. While many of our staff are working remotely, we are continuing business as usual. You can rely on our uninterrupted support during this challenging time.
North American Tunneling Conference
Registration is open for NAT 2020

In these rapidly changing times, we understand it can be difficult to make decisions to attend a conference. We’d like to offer you a risk-free registration:
  • We’ve extend our registration refund date through Tuesday, May 26, 2020 (unless the conference is postponed or cancelled).
  • Enjoy Early bird registration rates through the start of the conference.
  • Book your hotel room through our exclusive hotel block, now extended through May 26th, 2020.
Your health and safety are important to us, and we currently expect that NAT 2020 will occur. These new updates should give you the chance to respond in a more timely and thoughtful manner to this unprecedented situation. We hope you will find optimism and a return to business as normal in June.

UCA of SME continues to closely monitor the situation around COVID-19. Plans continue to move forward for NAT 2020 and we look forward to seeing you in Nashville. As always, the health and safety of NAT attendees, exhibitors, and staff is our highest priority and will guide our decision-making.
