I am glad to inform you that we are working with the Utah Geological Association (UGA, https://utahgeology.org/) for the benefit of the members of both the SME-Utah section and the UGA. The UGA is one of the prestigious state-level geological associations in the country that is active throughout the year and publishes various books and field trip guides almost every year. In our SME-Utah section, we have many active members of the UGA.
The Executive Committee of the UGA has formally approved collaboration with the SME-Utah Section for a field trip in 2024 (more details are coming soon) and also publicizes our Section activities in their monthly newsletter. The attached July 2023 newsletter of the UGA is attached. Our July 2023 monthly event is seen on page 16 of their newsletter. I will share their monthly newsletter with our section members as I receive it from the UGA (as a member of the UGA).
