The attached press release is of the Northeastern Nevada Section participation in the Mining Week program at Mountain View Elementary School in Elko, NV. This community outreach event continues to provide fun presentations and activities for the students across the two days of Section involvement. In addition to a focus on PPE – including students trying on gear – mineral samples were reviewed, and at the end of each session MEC handouts were given to the students.
