Hello Colorado Section Members!
If you haven't yet heard, there's some new SME action in Rocky Mountains. This month's edition of Mining Engineering formally introduced the newly formed Colorado Rocky Mountain SME Subsection based in Leadville Colorado. If you find yourself in Lake, Chaffee, Summit, or Eagle county on the third Thursday of the month, come by the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville from 4:30 PM to 7 PM to meet local mining professionals and participate in a mining related discussion.
Our next meeting will be on February 15th at 4:30 PM at the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum on the topic of Geothermal Energy in Chaffee County and the history of the Amax Mining Company.
