Introduction to Acid Mine Drainage

When:  Oct 2, 2020 from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM (MT)

Acid and Metalliferous Drainage (AMD) represents the single biggest environmental issue facing the mining industry worldwide.

This course is designed to introduce participants to all of the key steps required to understand, characterise, classify and manage AMD. It is presented by 11 internationally recognised AMD specialists, who have been working in the field for many years.

The course will be available for participants to access as a series of videos (and additional support information) over a 3 week period.  At the end of this time, we offer the opportunity for two 2-hour live Q&A and discussion sessions with all of the presenters.

Earlier this year the 10th Australian Workshop on Acid and Metalliferous Drainage (AMD2020) was postponed due to COVID-19. As a result the AMD organising committee has redesigned the event to comprise of two online short courses and a hybrid workshop to be held in the second quarter of 2021.
