Please accept this email as your invitation to participate in the SME South Texas Minerals Section. Due to the reinvigorated interest in not only uranium mining but rare earths as well, the South Texas Minerals Section believes that interest in participation will be sufficient to make meetings worthwhile. Historically, meetings have been conducted in Corpus Christi and at Texas A&M-Kingsville. To that end, a meeting has been scheduled:

One of the focus areas for the Section will be on student recruitment, so the local colleges at Del Mar, TAMUCC, and TAMUK will be invited to participate and/or present at the meetings with the objective to get students to join. These current students will be the future employees and leaders of this industry and SME and the South Texas Mineral Section is proud to be a part of ensuring that there will always be a strong and permanent mining industry in the United States of America.
