SME ..... making a difference 

Kurt will cover the basic framework of SME and the programs they support to make a difference in the mining industry and communities.  One of the initiatives is a grant program to encourage students and professors to obtain advanced degrees and tenure at minerals related educational institutions.  Two of the grant recipients who are students at The University of Utah, Aaron Young and Doug Weyher, will join Kurt to discuss their path in obtaining a PhD and associated research work.
