Georgia SME Section

The 2023 NSTA National Conference on Science Education will take place in Atlanta Georgia, on Thursday, March 23-Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Georgia World Congress Center (285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30313). The NSTA annual conference provides an opportunity for science educators to meet and learn about the latest materials and methodologies designed to meet their practical classroom needs.

 MEC will have an exhibition booth at the conference to hand out free materials and mineral resources to teachers to help educate students on the importance of mining and mined minerals in their everyday lives. We are hoping that the SME Georgia Section would support MEC at the NSTA conference in Atlanta through volunteer or sponsorship opportunities. To this end, a collaborative meeting is planned for Monday, September 26, at 3:30pm ET, to discuss ways SME Georgia Section can participate and support MEC at the NSTAT Atlanta event.
