Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing hourly employees in their designated area. This includes daily/long term planning in safety, quality, production planning, budgeting, and capital projects; facilitating conflict resolution and other HR issues within the work team; attaining safety, quality, cost, and environmental goals; meeting or exceeding goals and production targets on a consistent basis; and maintaining an active role of direct reports.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist and coach team(s) to ensure quality, production, and shipment requirements are being met; maintain a safe workplace and work culture in accordance with company policy(s) and MSHA standards; stay current with new equipment and technology in the industry; and meet budgeted production targets.
- Maintain environmental compliance per company policy, permits, and government regulations; manage data captured including but not limited to SAP inputs, time card maintenance, EMS system, Blast reporting.
- Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies; implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively; ensure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production process.
- Participate in long term capital project planning and manage capital projects within department.
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering (or equivalent experience), construction or related field
- 5 years of experience in mining or construction environment is preferred
- Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions with understanding of heavy equipment and mining operations.
- Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities and must be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environments.
