Please consider this query for participation with and support of the Northeastern Nevada Section of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) corporation supporting the mining industry, including providing opportunities for student scholarships. These efforts begin at the local level, with the individual Sections and their members. Local dues and events are the means by which Sections achieve their desired scholarship and community outreach goals. The attached letter presents some introductory information on these events and the Section in general.
Individuals are asked to consider presentations, assist at events, and encourage colleagues to do the same. Organizations are asked to consider event sponsorship and other support of the Section as well as encouraging employees and associates to be involved, whether through presentations or committing time to Section activities.
The 2026 year is just beginning on meeting commitments. Eleven monthly meeting slots are open, as are the Golf Tournament and Christmas party. Please consider participation and/or support. Spread the letter to friends and colleagues. Reach out to me or any of us officers listed in the letter for further details and discussion.
