Nuclear proliferation as per se Treatise of Nonproliferation of Nuclear weapons is a term used to describe the spread of fissile material and nuclear weapon related information to the countries not categorized as ‘Nuclear weapon states’ according to the NPT and CTBT. However the mere definition and policy does not constraints its integrity and the subject becomes notingly interesting when it is observed that countries/parties that enjoy a veto in the UN Security Council also enjoy playing figs with the international laws and treatise and thus contributing to a pessimistic momentum to the international nonproliferation treaty in Asia, however it has strived to become an acceptable trend among International Community. Apart from the aforesaid aspects of nuclear safety and its civil uses there are certain aspects of this panel that interests the writer including, (1) the relationship between the Nuclear weapon states and those states that are not the member of such treatise, can become a motivation for the development of another relationship, not recognized legally by international nonproliferation regime, among the third party countries and may straightforward ignore international pressure and laws. An Example of this being is US- India Energy relationship. (2)  Major global developments and policy reviews that affects nuclear security and mutual confidence among nations towards a more secure Asia and the entire international community. For instance the United States nuclear posture review both of 2002 and 2010 that included the components for the use of nuclear weapons against many Asian countries and thus poses strategic threat among Asian nations towards the development of stable nuclear order in Asia.India has been allowed the NSG waiver, in spite of being a non-member of NPT, because of its past records of nonproliferation and voluntary adoption of NFU’s. This calls for other NPT non parties for a more transparent and less secretive bilateral agreements to develop a sense of mutual confidence in international community.
