Happy Holidays!

Wish you all the best in this 2019.

Fatemeh Molaei, PhD student and myself from the MGE department at the University of Arizona, are working on a research on “The Positive Outcomes of D&I as a Business Strategy in the U.S. Mining Industry”.

As part of our research we created a climate survey to measure the effectiveness of diversity policies and initiatives within the U.S. mining industry in terms of improving work environment, attraction and retention of diverse talent in the industry.

Our goal it is to establish a baseline for future research in this area since there is null data that shows any metrics/results of where we stand as a mining industry in this topic.

SME leadership and Education & PD Strategic Committee are supporting us with this initiative, and the survey will be performed live at some of the social venues over the 2019 SME Annual Meeting.
In order to reach out to a larger population of individuals working in the U.S. mining industry, we are posting this survey online.

We are kindly asking mining professionals working across the U.S mining industry for your input.

Your responses will be greatly appreciated and the survey is anonymous, you do not have to specify your name or company’s name.

Please find the survey below, and thank you for your time and consideration!.
