How I learnt to love SME....
First that all i want to greet whoever who is reading this message.
Today, I want to express what mean to me being an sme member. Everything started 9 months ago when a teacher of mine with the companion of some peers wanted to resume a community: And student chapter enrolled with SME community.
The idea of being in contact with my peers in order to work for all the members of the organization and for the career was amazing, the only problem was that i didn't really know how could i help to the community, how could I help during the rest of my carreer and during the rest of my life?. It was a question of motivation, a question of falling in love with the community.
During the first months I was just a member, I tried to attend every meeting but I was not an active member because I was not doing as much as I may do for the organization.
I have the chance to travel to Perú to attend to a congress, and it was there when I realized what I want to be at the organization, what I could do and what I want the organization to be. When my feet touched the peruvian ground I could know some members of the Perú SME Section, I could see how well-organized they were and how a student community might work and remain in the life of the members and professionals for a lot of years. I realized that being and sme member was more than having acces to a website, some discounts and onemine.org. I knew that being an SME member was a life style, it was a way to learn, to share, to work,to fight against the lazyness and againts the indefference and lack of cooperation.
It was a way, i mean the best way to be an integral professional, to be a friend to be nice peer and to enjoy every experience of my carreer.
Now, I'm extremelly obsessed with my student chapter, and as the secretary of SME Student Chapter Medellín i just want to give my best, i want to work with the board and with all the member to reach every objetive we want to accomplish.
Now I have new dreams. I want to attend with my peers to the next annual meetting and to have the chance to stay here as a member, i mean an important member for the rest of my life.
Finally, i want to excuse myself if i've made some mistake at writting in this beautiful language.
