Today I had the opportunity to tour the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum (http://www.mininghalloffame.org/ ) in Leadville, Colorado. The Museum is a monument to the memory of the men and women who pioneered the discovery, development and processing of our nation's natural resources.  The  Mining Hall of Fame, located in the same building, is a memorial for men and women who achieved lasting greatness in the mining and natural resource environment.  Inductees are selected from the full list of candidates by the Museum's Board of Governors. Their engraved photographs and biographies are placed in the Hall. Consideration is given to prospectors, miners, mining leaders, engineers, teachers, financiers, inventors, journalists, rascals, geologists and others.

Here I am with SME Special Projects Manager Jackie Dorr and Interim Museum Director Vince Mathews in the Hall of Fame.
