SME Hosts Mining/Mineral Processing Licensure Review Course

Engineers will prepare for the October 2020 P.E. Exam

The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. (SME) will host the Professional Engineer Exam Review Course September 12-16, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The review course provides an overall assessment of the subjects that will be covered in the licensure exam in October 2020.

The review course is a 5-day class covering each of the examination subject topics, terminology, concepts and also provides a multitude of information and sources for executing the licensure exam. College professors from Pennsylvania State University, University of British Columbia, West Virginia University and Colorado School of Mines will teach this mining/mineral processing professional engineer review course. Subject topics are:

  • Exploration
  • Mine Planning and Operations
  • Environmental and Reclamation
  • Mineral Processing

The SME P.E. Review Course will be an in-person event with appropriate social distancing and personal safety practices. SME will adhere to local government regulations and some instructors may present from a distance.
