SME Arizona Conference
Registration is now open for the 2018 SME Arizona Conference, hosted by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc., in Tucson, Arizona, December 2-3, 2018. This two-day conference hosts some of the most powerful speakers, engaging technical sessions and influential authors in the mining industry. The conference provides technical updates from projects in the Southwest United States and Mexico, and region-specific sessions, speakers and activities.
The Monday, December 3, Keynote Speaker is John Mansanti, President and CEO, Crystal Peak Minerals and 2017 SME President. Distinguished Luncheon Speaker is Justin Cross, General Manager-Bagdad, Freeport-McMoRan, who will talk about “Knowing When to Learn, When to Lead and When to Manage.”

To kick things off, the annual Diggers & Duffers Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 on the world famous links at the JW Marriott Star Pass Resort golf course. The proceeds from this tournament will offset travel expenses and registration for SME Student Chapter members who would like to attend the 2019 SME Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, CO.
