Complimentary Registration to SME Annual Conference & Expo
The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) is pleased to invite reporters and members of the press to the official launch of its newest publication, the international peer-reviewed journal Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (MME), published in partnership with Springer Nature. SME offers complimentary registration to members of the press who would like to cover the event. The MME journal is a broad-based forum for the exchange of research and operational best practices that will be an invaluable resource for researchers and practitioners in academia, industry and government institutions who are working in mining, minerals and natural resources.
Barbara J. Arnold, President of SME, announced: “Our new journal will become a significant member benefit, and I’m looking forward to the breadth and depth of articles that we'll publish. MME will support our vision of being the premier resource for the mining and mineral community we serve.”
The launch will be held in the SME Press Room and Media Center at the Colorado Convention Center Room 103-105 at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 25, 2019 during the SME Annual Conference & Expo and CMA 121st National Western Mining Conference. SME will waive registration fees for reporters with a recognized press card and for current members of the media. The event will be transmitted live via streaming video on the SME Facebook platform and broadcast on selected monitors in the Convention Center hallways.
Also in the SME Press Room and Media Center, conference exhibitors will display samples of their new products using media kits, flash drives, brochures, etc. Key exhibitors and high-level executives will be providing interviews at designated times. The Press Room will be open and available to the media during core conference hours Feb. 25-27.
