The Exhibit floor is open! We have 159 exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest innovations in equipment and advancing technologies. It was great to see so many people attend the welcoming luncheon presentation today where Deputy Administrator Of the Federal Highway Administration, Greg Nadeau spoke about the FHWA’s innovation initiative Every Day Counts, which is designed to address shortening project delivery time and accelerate the rapid deployment of innovative technology using a state-based model.

The RETC Executive Committee also gave Erin Keough and Marion King their scholarship checks and recognition certificates during the RETC welcoming luncheon.

I really enjoyed talking with many of the attendees Sunday night at the Women in Tunneling reception held during the RETC Conference. Here is a photo of UCA incoming Chair Bill Edgerton, UCA Board Member Pamela Moran with SME staff member Mary O'Shea.

SME's book counter is located near the registration desk where you can pick up the latest books for the tunneling industry including the Grouting Equipment Manual by Donald Hegebarth.

Tuesday, attendees will learn innovative solutions to the unique challenges associated with the tunneling and underground construction industries through technical sessions covering topics such as Ground Stabilization, Hard Rock Tunneling, Design and Planning, Pressure Face TBM Technology, just to name a few.

Visit the RETC website at www.RETC.org to see more information and download the app if you haven't already!
