The Mining/Mineral Processing PE Exam will be administered by NCEES on October 25, 2019 in multiple locations across the United States. This is an all-day, pencil and paper exam. In the United States, engineers are licensed at the state level by professional licensing boards. Engineering boards confer the PE license when candidates meet a combination of requirements in education, experience and exams.

Stantec is honored to sponsor SME’s efforts in Mining/Mineral Processing licensure through NCEES and the Professional Engineers Exam Committee.

“Ensuring that the industry has trained, knowledgeable, and licensed engineers with integrity is key to the success of mining operations around the world. This licensure demonstrates professional competency and builds trust with stakeholders that the industry’s PEs are qualified and capable mining and mineral engineers. These engineers are the individuals who will transform our industry by designing safer, more sustainable, and more efficient operations today and in the future.”

Jon Treen, Senior Vice President, Mining, Stantec
