Brad Crenshaw will present on various aspects of grouting in relation to underground operations for the heavy civil and mining industries. The intent of the presentation will be to provide the participant with an overview of when and how grouting is applied in underground construction, types of grouting, operational and financial considerations when grouting is utilized, and to provide examples of typical grouting projects. Additionally, some “unique” grouting applications will be discussed.

Brad Crenshaw is General Manager of GEC Drilling & Grouting, Inc. He has worked in the underground heavy civil and mining industries for fifteen years, beginning with a consulting firm and working the last twelve years as a contractor. During this period, he has worked with numerous geotechnical applications; however, his experience has primarily focused on drilling and grouting applications. His experience includes various types of grouting operations on tunnels throughout the United States as well as mines in North America and Europe. Brad holds a master’s degree in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
