Greetings from the Northern MN Subsection of SME!
The Northern Subsection is pleased to announce the 2018 Fall Port Tour, a first time offering! This year, we will be enjoying a tour of the Duluth port on Thursday, September 27th from 5-7 pm. Our host and tour guide will be Kate Ferguson, Director of Business Development for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority. Kate is an expert on supply chain management and is well versed to educate on the importance of the Twin Ports. MPCA staff will also highlight the Minnesota Slip Cleanup Project, which is slated to commence in the days following our tour. This 2-hour tour will feature appetizers and a cash bar. Cost to SME members and their guests is $35 per person, children ages 4-12 is $20/child, 3 and under is free. The cost to non-SME members is $40 per person. Additionally, for anyone interested in staying in Duluth that evening, we are considering reserving a block of rooms at one of the Canal Park hotels. Please include that in your RSVP so we can determine the feasibility of reserving a block of rooms
