  • 1.  Welcome SME Colorado Section members to your new members-only online discussion group

    Posted 11-17-2014 07:34 PM

We know the value SME members put on the networking and educational opportunities we provide through our meetings and events throughout the year. To build on that value, we are excited to enter into this new phase of member communications by providing SME Colorado Section members an environment to connect, engage and share critical industry information and best practices in real time.

This new community will also help SME Colorado Section communicate more dynamically with our members, by responding more quickly to your needs and receiving your input on critical industry issues.

With the exception of section events & meetings, this group will not be used for marketing. Through this forum, members can gather to continue discussions and problem solving and share documents that will help the work of the section advance its goals: increase section membership and participation, mining community networking and raising money for SME Scholarships and Local Mining Education.

SME Colorado Section is an evolving community! We look forward to your feedback and suggestions on how we can make the SME Colorado Section a member benefit you can't do business without.

    Best regards,

    Chuck Yarbrough, P.E.

Thanks Chuck and welcome again everyone to the SME Colorado Section community group. There are four simple steps members can make to quickly take advantage of the new system:

    1. You have been subscribed to the Daily Digest version of SME Colorado Section community, meaning you'll get one email each day containing all of the previous day's posts. If you'd like to change that to real time (you'll get an email every time something new is posted), no emails (you can view the discussions online but won't receive email), or unsubscribe, use the My subscriptions link.

    2. To respond to a question, use the "Reply via Email" or "Reply Online" (login required) links found to the right of this post to send your reply to the group (we encourage this if your response will help others and add to the long-term care body of knowledge); or use the "Reply to sender" at the bottom of the email to send a private offline message to the author of the message.

    3. Missed a couple of posts in a discussion? Click the "View thread" link found at the bottom of each post to see the original question and all replies.

    4. You may be prompted to log in if you choose a link that takes you to the SME Community website. If you are on a private computer, please check the "Remember me" option at login to make it fast and easy to respond going forward. You can log in using your SME ID and password. Don't remember your ID or password? No problem! Just ask SME Customer Service for assistance. You can call 303-948-4200 or email cs@smenet.org.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to myself or other SME staff if you have questions or need assistance.

    Sincerely,
